In the film “Antony Firinghee”, this song had also been sung by Gitashree Sandhya Mukhopadhyay. In fact, one of the small firats performed by Ms. Das in the first lines of 1st & 2nd antara are in Sandhya Mukhopadhyay’s version. She was not only a great singer of light Bengali (film/ non-film songs) but also a great classical artist – trained by none other than Ustad Bade Ghulam Ali. We should also remember him while performing or hearing this song.
